Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Maheu was drawn to dentistry because he saw it as a mix of science and art, and he liked the challenges it could present. Having to work with people and provide care that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing is immensely satisfying, and looking back, he couldn’t have chosen a better path for himself.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After receiving dual degrees from Syracuse University in chemistry and biology, Dr. Maheu earned his DMD degree from Tufts University in 1993. He has a special interest in dental implant dentistry and is an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and Spear Education.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
In his free time, Dr. Maheu enjoys fly fishing, biking (he has ridden in the Pan Mass Challenge for over a decade), and coaching youth lacrosse.
