Meet the Dentists

Our team is dedicated to providing you with modern, effective dental care that’s also professional and considerate of your personal needs. We believe our patients should be able to have specialized services, such as root canals and dental implants, in an office where they feel comfortable. For this reason, our dentists hold various specialty degrees.

Robert L. Viventi, D.M.D.

Dr. Viventi joined Central Dental Associates in 1986. He received his D.M.D. degree from Tufts University following the receipt of his B.S. in Science from St. Lawrence University. He has particular interest in the continuing study and use of advanced restorative processes. Dr. Viventi, who was raised in Cincinnati, enjoys golf, skiing, motorcycling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

John J. Maheu, D.M.D.

Dr. Maheu joined Central Dental Associates in 1993. After receiving dual degrees from Syracuse University in Chemistry and Biology, Dr. Maheu received his D.M.D. degree from Tufts University in 1993. Dr. Maheu has a special interest in implant dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Maheu enjoys fly fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

Maryam Shomali, D.M.D.

Dr. Shomali received her degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1990. After practicing one year of general dentistry, she entered the endodontic residency program at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry where she was awarded a Certificate of Endodontics in 1993. Dr. Shomali is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Endodontic Association. In her free time she enjoys skiing, hiking, and cooking.

Caroline B. Faris, D.M.D., D.M.Sc.

Dr. Faris graduated magna cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. degree and a Certificate in Periodontology. In addition, Dr. Faris earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences (D.M.Sc.) in Oral Biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Faris specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, as well as in dental implants and bone and tissue regeneration. Dr. Faris has received numerous awards in recognition of her academic, clinical, and research accomplishments.

Timothy C. Do, D.D.S.

Dr. Do received his dental degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry in 1996. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has particular interest in early orthodontic intervention and sleep medicine. In his free time, Dr. Do enjoys golf, skiing, snowboarding, and enjoying time with his wife and three children.
